DAILY WASTE

Tackling Daily Waste in a Sustainable Manner

  • Eco Bean is most suited for decomposition of unsegregated non-recyclable and inert Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).

  • Eco Bean is completely made in India.

  • The machines are currently available in various sizes ranging from 0.5 cu.m to 5.0 cu.m (as per Sawchh Bharat Mission MSWM Manual 2016). The above are sizes of the main chamber based on volume of the waste. The actual quantities of waste processed will depend on the composition of waste (i.e. moisture, mass and calorific value of the waste).

  • Depending upon the quantity and composition of waste, the Eco Bean can easily integrate into a material recovery facility (MRF) or any recycling activity by attaching enabling equipment as below can be provided along with Eco Bean machine:

    • Shredder – To reduce various waste materials to uniform shape & size for improving efficiency of the machine.

    • Deduster – To separate dust from the waste.

    • Compressor or Bailing – For reducing moisture content from the waste and smashing waste into blocks

    • Trommel – To divide waste from mud or separate big and small sized waste

    • Ballistic Machines – To auto segregate waste

  • Conveyor belt - For enabling manual segregation and loading of waste into the main chamber.

Thus, the Eco Bean can be integrated along with a Material Recovery Facility (MRF).

Every traditional method of waste management involves transporting waste to a central location and then processing it or incinerating it or recycling it. Since ‘Eco Bean’ is compact, it can be installed at various locations across multiple wards, thus decentralizing waste decomposition and waste management.

The advantages of decentralized waste management approach are:

  • Saves logistics cost i.e. cost of transporting waste.

  • Eliminates the need for landfill or secondary collection sites.

  • Promotes increased efficiency by allowing for intervention at various points of the waste value chain, thus allowing integrating with existing solutions.

Alternatively, these machines are best suited to be deployed at landfills / dump yards to destruct legacy waste / inert waste.

India generates 62 million tonnes of waste each year. About 43 million tonnes (70%) are collected of which about 12 million tonnes are treated and 31 million tonnes are dumped in landfill sites.

Of the total collected waste, only 20% (27,000 MT per day) is processed and the rest is dumped at  landfill sites.

India is getting buried under  mounds of garbage as the

country has been generating  more than 1.50 lakh metric tons  (MT) of solid waste every day.

Worse - approximately 90 percent (1,35,000 MT per day) of the  total amount is collected waste –  it is not being treated or

destroyed.

ECO BEAN is the best installation for getting rid of legacy waste. The machine is capable of running non stop on daily  basis.

Multiple machines working at the same time will make a huge difference in reducing the landfill areas in  cities. The space used up by landfills can be freed to convert them into greener pastures for the citizens.

What can be achieved with ECO BEAN:

  • Allows collection and destruction of mixed slid waste closer to source that saves logistics cost

  • Decentralised approach eliminates the need for landfill or secondary  collection sites

  • Promotes increased efficiency by allowing for intervention at various points  of the waste value chain, thus allowing to integrate with existing solutions

  • Very easy to operate

  • Easy maintenance with ZERO down time
