  • What is Eco Bean?
An environment friendly waste destruction and decomposition system, ECO BEAN, effectively destroys waste in the most environmentally efficient way without discharging any harmful emissions and with minimal use of grid power. Based on an innovative magnetic low temperature pyrolysis technology, Pyromag Worldwide LLP, brings to you this sustainable innovative concept in urban mixed solid waste decomposition.
  • Is this machine similar to the incinerator?
No; incineration is a process in which the waste or some other material is fed inside a chamber and is BURNT using Diesel, LNG, CNG, LPG or Electricity. It can also be called a “burning process” as it involves the use of fire which emits smoke at the end of the process. Moreover, incineration takes place in the presence of oxygen whereas the Eco Bean works in the absence of oxygen or in the presence of very little oxygen, thus controlling the final emissions. Eco Bean has a main closed chamber, lined with strong industrial grade magnets. To start the process, an initial ignition is sparked inside this chamber with the help of a small electric ignition heater (light flame only), which is later switched off. Special air space within the chamber is filled with super-strong magnetic hyperthermia (400-800°). A small amount of atmospheric air is passed through the chamber at regular intervals. The air contains charged atoms, which are agitated due to the presence of magnetic force inside the chamber. Reactive oxygen is generation by the magnetized field which reacts with the waste to generate syngas (synthesis gas) which is self generated fuel. This condition of hyperthermia and syngas with high self generated energy disconnects the intermolecular bonds (decomposition) of the municipal solid waste or mixed solid waste, completely decomposition the waste and converting it into insignificant amount of ceramic ash. Simply put – the Eco Bean is capable of scientifically decomposing waste without the use of external source of energy like fuel or electricity and without directly incinerating the waste using traditional unscientific methods in an environmentally harmful manner that is prevalent today. The machine also uses the inherent calorific value of the waste to keep the heat generation constant. The main chamber is designed such that it can generate and maintain heat up to 800oC or more.
  • What is the operating temperature of the machine?
The Pyromag Super Machine, typically operates between 300°C to 450°C and decomposes most types of mixed solid waste at this temperature. We have now modified the machine to destroy Covid 19 (Coronavirus) PPE kits and other bio-medical waste by adding a special heating system which consumes very minimal power. This specially modified system is also available now and can operate at 800°C.
  • How does the machine produce heat up to temperatures of up to 800 degrees?
Eco Bean has a main closed chamber, lined with strong industrial grade magnets. To start the process, an initial ignition is sparked inside this chamber with the help of a small electric ignition heater (light flame only), which is later switched off. Special air space within the chamber is filled with super-strong magnetic hyperthermia (400-800°). A small amount of atmospheric air is passed through the chamber at regular intervals. • Is the Machine moveable?
Yes. We provide Crane Hooks with special body and chimney design to enable dismantling and easy movement of the machine. However it will be advisable to tell us at the time of placing the order about the mobility requirements so that we can custom build each machine accordingly.
  • How much power is required to operate the Eco Bean?
Eco Bean is a self-powered system. The initiation process requires a 3kw power source and the machine is heated upto 250°C. But in case the overall wet waste / moisture content of the waste is over 30%, we suggest that an additional heater is attached to accelerate the process of waste destruction. The Power supply source can be Grid power or Solar power.
  • Do we need Diesel, CNG or LNG fuel or any type of fossil fuel to destroy the waste?"
No, the Eco Bean doesn’t need any fuel to destroy the waste. This makes the machine completely environment friendly, in comparison to all traditional waste management systems.
  • What is the ideal moisture content in the waste, the machine can handle?"
    30% wet waste per cycle
  • What happens if the input waste has more than 30% moisture content?
The more moisture content in the waste (wet waste) the more time it takes to dry and then the process of destruction will follow after the waste has dried. If the user finds the wet waste is increasing more in regular intervals, we suggest using an additional heating system that will consume about 2KW to 3KW power supply (through Grid or Solar power).
  • What is the size of the final waste or residue after destruction?
The ratio of ash output to the waste input ratio is 1/100 to 1/300, depending on size of the machine.
  • How do we ensure that there are no pollutants escaping from the machine in the form of toxic gases or other harmful residues?
An External heater (850-1050°C) is connected outside the chamber to destroy any dioxin and all other toxic substances that is formed during the process of waste decomposition. A wet scrubbing system is fixed through which gases pass to prevent reformation of any dioxin as well as to remove acidic fumes. After wet scrubbing of the gasses, the flue gas (clean air) is dispersed through the chimney into the atmosphere. This process ensures that only clean air escapes from the stack. The water needs to be changed every 2 weeks or as per the change in the colour of the water as and when seen by the user.
  • What is the final byproduct of the waste?
Post destruction the final byproduct is Ceramic Ash. The final output is non-toxic and complies with the CPCB standards (tested as per Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure or TCLP)
  • What can the final byproduct be used for?
Ceramic Ash can be used for tile manufacturing process, or can be mixed with concrete or with asphalt during construction.
  • What are the types of waste that can be destroyed?
During regular working conditions, mixed solid waste which comprises unsegregated dry waste, paper, carton boxes, plastic, leaves, inert waste and regular everyday municipal waste. Most of the common urban waste can be destroyed. At higher temperatures, using the additional heating mechanism bio medical waste from hospitals can be destroyed to make sure that spread of the virus from the waste is curtailed.
  • Can Plastic be destroyed in the Eco Bean?
We stand by principles of circular economy and state for the record that recyclable waste must be recycled, including plastics. Eco Bean can decompose plastics as well but we recommend that non-recyclable unsegregated waste to be fed into Eco Bean.
  • How long does it take to destroy the waste for a 1 tonne machine?
It takes approximately 6 to 8 hours based on the type of MSW thrown inside the chamber.
  • What kind of waste is the machine not able to decompose or destroy?
    Glass, stone or metal
  • What will happen to glass material if dropped in the destruction chamber of the machine?
If any any other non recommended waste is dropped in the Eco Bean destruction chamber it will come out of the outlet chamber as it is.
  • What will happen to metal if dropped in the destruction chamber of the machine?
If any any other non recommended waste is dropped in the Eco Bean destruction chamber it will come out of the outlet chamber as it is.
  • What will happen if a rock or concrete is dropped in the destruction chamber of the machine?
If any any other non recommended waste is dropped in the Eco Bean destruction chamber it will come out of the outlet chamber as it is.
  • What is the maintenance requirement of the machine?
Eco Bean machines are built to operate with minimal maintenance. Operating with the care and regular cleaning, results in the machine lasting longer.
  • What is the size of the Eco Bean machine?
Eco Bean machines come in various sizes from 0.5Cu.m to 5.0Cu.m.
  • Does the machine create noise pollution?
This machine makes NO noise at all, expect a mild water scrubber pump sound.
  • Does the residual ceramic ash contain pollutant or toxic wastes?
Ceramic Ash which is the residue, has high re-usable caloric value. Since the quantity of the ash is very less, it is fed back into the machine for maintaining the heat. There are no polutants or toxic components in this residue.
  • If there is any pollution under the government norms or do we have government certification?
All Governments have a Pollution Control Board which defines norms for Sound, Air & Water pollution levels. All machines have to go through a government certified (authorized) lab test and should conform to the prescribed norms. The Eco Bean machines have undergone all lab tests and our results are well below the prescribed norms.
  • Can this machine explode?
No. Pyromag Super machines are not air-tight, have no compression or incineration process. There are adequate safety valves built in the system and hence there is no chance of any explosion taking place.
  • How does one charge/start the machine for the 1st time whether its a new machine or if the machine is shut for a long duration due to any reason)?
An initiation process is done using a heater system which can be connected to the grid or solar power and uses very minimal power. Once the machine is heated upto 200°C the garbage can be introduced and the plasma process takes place thus increasing the heat upto 450°C or more.
  • What happens if you only fill 200KG waste is enterted into a 1-ton machine?
It will destroy the waste to ash.
  • Is any external power supply required for operating?
For the destruction of garbage no-power or fuel is required. To treat the effluents and gases, the water scrubber pumps & blowers need some minimap power. The same power can be used for operating the doors of the machine which are semi-automatic.
  • Will the machine stop functioning if the moisture is more than 60%?
No it won’t stop, but overall efficiency in the decomposition process will reduce, and more time will be taken to decompose the waste as the machine will first dry the wet waste and then decompose it.
  • What is the Warranty & Maintenance of the machine?
Warranty: The Machine comes with 1 year warranty from the date of installation or 13 months from the date of supply. Post Warranty period: We offer a 1 year AMC post-warranty at an additional cost of approximately 10% per year.
  • What is the minimum and maximum height of the chimney?
Minimum is 6Mtr & Maximum is up to 25 Mtr
  • How much is the water contamination after the scrubber and purification processes take place?
We recommend using 20% NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) absorbing solution in the wet scrubber. The water in the scrubber needs to be changed every fortnight. Maximum quantity of water required in the three tanks will be 20 litres. The pH of the water let out is neutral and complying with all PCB standards
  • What is the manpower requirement during regular operation?
Generally 1 person will be enough to operate the machine but depending on the number of cycles to be operated the client has to decide on the manpower requirement, depending on the quantity of the waste. If the waste loading has to be done manually, the client has to provide the labour.
  • Does Pyromag Worldwide offer the requisite training to use the machine effectively?
We provide comprehensive training pre & post-installation for 3 months
